I am a mobile worker (I am not a geek :D) … I can blonk myself in any cafe… as long as there is “working” power socket and wifi access. However, this is quite a challenge… although I did map out some of the laptop friendly cafes. 
Today, Jerm introduce us to a cafe that is what all mobile workers look for… free wifi, power supply (enuff sockets for each of the patron… no need to target/fight for the favorite table near a wall socket) and food. It’s Geek Terminal @ Market Street. Its tagline is Empowered by Technology. Inspire to Achieve. 
Pretty neat place with affordable eats. The cafe dish out snacks, main course and desserts. There is also set menu too!
A very conducive place to have meetings outside of office and even small events or even a quiet spot to do work in town They even provide photocopying and faxing service.. not to mention charging of “drained” handphones too at an affordable price.

Came across this little no-frill eatery, Basil Alcove, through a few popular blog site, decide that one day i will give it a try. I learn not to go on a monday as it is closed 
Interestingly, there are many of these cheap eats that starts to mushroom up in Singapore. (Like Botak Jones and Ashton’s)
It dishes up many yummy delights at affordable prices. Heard that it is great hit with the SMU and NAFA students.
Finally, managed to make arrangement with my buddy to check out the eatery on a Thurs evening. Fortunately, we went there rather early… not much crowd yet. Only problem with this place is the space is limited and its outdoor (Al fresco) sitting.
We ordered their house special… Casear Salad with Prawns for starters to share while waiting for our mains.
We ordered the chef recommendation… Roasted Lamb Rack (I am a sucker for roasted lamb :D) and Basilico Duck Breast with Red Wine. Coupled with some Duvel beer. Yummy!
It is great! And I will definitely be back… =) *Must remember not to go on Mon*
