I am a mobile worker (I am not a geek :D) … I can blonk myself in any cafe… as long as there is “working” power socket and wifi access. However, this is quite a challenge… although I did map out some of the laptop friendly cafes. :D Today, Jerm introduce us to a cafe that is what all mobile workers look for… free wifi, power supply (enuff sockets for each of the patron… no need to target/fight for the favorite table near a wall socket) and food. It’s Geek Terminal @ Market Street. Its tagline is Empowered by Technology. Inspire to Achieve. :)

Pretty neat place with affordable eats. The cafe dish out snacks, main course and desserts. There is also set menu too!

A very conducive place to have meetings outside of office and even small events or even a quiet spot to do work in town :D They even provide photocopying and faxing service.. not to mention charging of “drained” handphones too at an affordable price.

Here’s some shots I took in cafe.

After lunch at one of the japanese restaurant @ The Central today, we decide to walk around before heading home. Walked past Gobi Desserts and decided to buy a box home to try. You can’t missed this store. It is located at the entrance of The Central. The shop has simple yet elegant design with very intrigue furniture. Couple of times, I have walked the store, seen their creations but haven’t tried the desserts there.

The desserts were beautifully decorated. hehe…. its too pretty to eat haha! I can understand why their tagline is Disturbing Delightful Desserts. They looked so yummy yet sinful! :D It is truly “Happiness in a Box”. They have 2 selections (fantasy or chocolate factory) that are readily on sale at the store. Its available in 6 or 12 petite pieces. I decided to buy a box of 6 pieces from the Fantasy collection and try.

The selection includes:
1. Smell the roses - Violet Meringues with Lavendar infused cream
2. Sweet Somethings - pink macaron with fresh strawberries and cream
3. Dark Angel - chocolate cake
4. Opera - coffee cake
5. Love Boat - macarons and chestnut cream
6. Cupid - White chocolate with cream cheese
