This year… Valentine’s Day came about 1 week earlier. Ter bought me the airtix to go japan for a short 4D getaway to Tokyo for this year. *muaks dear*
As we were there for short 4 days, we cramped a lot of things to do in that short stay. Ended up, we did a lot of walking, eating and window shopping with very little sleep and rest time. It was great but I think I need to pamper myself with a nice spa or massage to soothe the aches and sores.
And we say New York is the city that never sleeps. I think Japan fits the bill too! Everyone seems to sleep so little and yet has a lot of energy to last the whole day. Also, there is a lot of walking to be done… no wonder they are all so petite.
While doing some research for the trip, we came across some website advertising about Gotemba Chelsea Premium Outlet. We both got really excited… it is by the some folks who set up Woodbury Commons and Gilroy… We went there with high hopes of bursting our credit cards. Unfortunately, it was a let down =( (Funnily, we asked a lot of folks who staying or been to japan and none of them have been there.) Wasted 1/2 a day there.
We were stucked in the jam on the way back and didnt make it in time for the imperial palace. Guess we will go there another time.
The third day was the most tiring yet most fulfilling day. We covered a lot of the venues we are supposed to check out. And we started out our morning @ 5AM. It is such an ungodly hour…
The last day in Tokyo. Wah… the hotel here are very strict on the check-out time. We wanted to extend the check-out till later but there is charges per hour for extension and it doesn’t come cheap!
Bleah… so, we had to check out @ 10am… and lug our luaggages along with us as the luggages were all filled. This weekend happened to be some japanese long weekend. :X hai!
The streets at Sibuya were packed with shoppers… guess.. they were doing last minute V-day shopping as well.
We did some speed-shopping before heading off to the airport for our flight @ 4pm.
Definitely, would love to come back again….
