On Friday, I brought a bunch of my MG infocomm club to Underwater
World (UWW) for a sleepover. While walking to the venue, I came across
this very interesting set up… Fish Reflexology.
Interesting! During the sleepover, we didnt had time to do so… Day after, I gathered Ter & Lena to join me on this interesting experience since we were chilling out at Cafe Del Mar.
We opt for the treatment that is 50 minutes
(20min soak in the fish pool, 20min foot reflex and 10min head/shoulder
massage). It is priced at $50. (UOB credit card has a 10% discount.)

The experience is weird when we had to dip our
feet into the pool filled with fishes. The minute you put your feet in,
the school of fishes will swim and ‘attack’ your feet. These fishes
feed on the dead skin. We were told that there are 2 ponds… 1st pool
has smaller fishes - its more ticklish but less vicious while 2nd pool
has bigger fishes - it less ticklish but more vicious and intense.
Hmm.. after getting over the initital fright of the fishes attack
our feet, it felt like electrical shocks… bouts of quick electric
wave passing thru your feet. Interestingly, we realised that they
attack the guy’s feet more aggressively… and it seem thru while we
observe the fishes attack the feets of other patrons. hehee.. maybe cos
ladies go for pedicure often
After soaking 20 minutes, we continued our treatments.

Thank you Mastercard Singapore. I have participated in one of Mastercard Moments contest earlier this year and won for myself a 3D2N trip to Bali… this includes a roundtrip airtixs for 2 on SQ, 2 nite stay @ Laguna Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua and 1-hr Balinese Massage for 2. =) Very surprised that I won. First time, I won something that fantastic
As Ter’s bday is in May, I have decided to use this prize to celebrate his birthday =). Tho there wasn’t any catch attached to the win… it was quite problematic booking the airtix coz of its restricted code and we had really bad timing for the flights + its a popular weekend i guess.
All packed and ready to go… but prior to the departure, we heard news of the horrible tidal waves that swiped the beaches and damaged some fishing boats and properties by the beach as well as drowned some folks. Friends and family were worried about our safety and advised us against going for the trip. We have decided to take the chance as we checked with the Balinese folks that all was well. Anyways, We were back well and safety.
As usual, see my comics for the summary of the trip.
Day 1: Arrival in Bali

Day 2: Spa/Tour of Ubud/Dinner @ Bali Dance Festival

Celebrating Ter’s 30th Birthday

Day 3: Nusa Dua/Tour of Uluwatu/Dinner @ Jimbaran Bay/Villa Seri

Day 4: Departure

On the whole, the trip is good… could be longer and better. BTW, should anyone be heading to bali, lemme know. I highly recommend the drivers i hired to bring me around. They belong to a team of drivers who call themselves “Drivers with Distiniction.” Also, for cheap and good lodging, I highly recommend Villa Seri too! Enjoy!
